Problem Extracting New Update

Thread needs solution

I recently installed Monterey OS 12.0.1 on my Mac and have encountered two problems. I cannot install the new Acronis Update which contains bug fixes for Monterey. It downloads but I then get an error message which reads 'an error occurred when extracting the archive- please try later.'

The other problem is that now when I open Acronis, I am asked to install two files in my Privacy folder in Settings to allow Acronis access to personal data. I have followed the instructions but it will not install and the contents of the Privacy folder do not match those shown in the Acronis on screen instructions. This may be a problem which will rectify itself when I can install the latest upgrade but I cannot do this.

Caveat: I am a Windows user with no direct experience of using ATI on any Mac.

If there are problems with the latest build update installer then try downloading another copy either from your Acronis Account download page or from the Acronis Product Updates page which has links to the latest versions.

You should check the file checksum value matches the downloaded file.

In my account the checksum shows as

f6b76a97d36eada23d82a889d69d1bb8

for this .dmg file.
