Acronis Mobile Backup by USB

Thread needs solution

Would like to see an option to use Acronis True Image to back up Google Android devices to Microsoft Windows by USB instead of needing a wireless connection.  I see the usefulness of being able to do automated backups wirelessly without having to plug the phone in, but I normally prefer to keep wifi disabled on my desktop PC.  So having the option to choose whether to do wired or wireless backups of mobile devices would be nice.

Nicole , thank you for your feedback! Passed to the product team for review

I want to back up my Android mobile device to PC via USB cable without using WiFi. I want to backup periodically and not continuously via WiFi. I have found that it seems to be impossible to do this, but if it is possible I would appreciate it if you would let me know how. I am using Acronis True Image 2019. Thanks.

Sorry but no version of ATI provides any method of backup to PC directly via USB - you will need to find another third-party application to provide that functionality.

Thanks for responding, Steve. Is your answer still valid today or has Acronis improved its product?
Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office user here - and Android mobile phone backup via WLAN does not work. Please, please add backup via USB connection functionality.

There is no change with ACPHO in terms of mobile connectivity options - only WiFi is offered.

The Acronis Backup for mobile app is severely limited due to having no root access on the phone.  I gave up using it several years back as it was unreliable even then and of no real backup value!
