Offline Notifications

Thread needs solution

If my Client is offline from Internet during the backupsession i do not get any notification via E-Mail after being online again. Is there a workaround?

Also i cannot find a logfile of the backup-session. Not on the programfolder nor on the external harddisk, where the backup is stored.

Jesse, welcome to these public User Forums.

If the client is completely offline from the internet when the backup process is performed then there will be no email notification able to be sent.

Logs are created for all backup operations but you will need to use a tool to view these.

Download a copy of the MVP Assistant log viewer tool and use this to look at the logs to see if they show any issues during the operation process?

You need to be using the new log viewer tool per the link below.
MVP Assistant update for Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office (Version 1.1.6.0)

If you have Disks & Partitions backups created on ATI 2020 or later using .tibx files, then look in the Backup Worker logs.

If you have Files & Folders backups using .tib files (or Disk backups from earlier versions using .tib files) or using Cloning then look in the Demon logs.

Other logs are shown by the MVP Assistant under the 'Active Logs' heading of the Log Viewer page of the Assistant.

The log files should be zipped to preserve their original file names if sharing in the forums and would need to be less than 3MB in size, otherwise you would need to share the zip file via a Cloud share service such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc.

Hey Steve,

thank you for your fast reply.

Now i can see the logfiles.

Is there no workaround for sending the protocol after being online again?

A possible solution could be to put it into a local dropbox-folder or anything like that.

Thank you.

Ralf

Ralf, the only alternative here would be to use the option for universal notifications as per KB 59265: Acronis True Image: how to set up email notifications about backup status

Other than that you would need to setup a local mail server and then have this sync to the internet when back online and use the settings for the local server in the notifications settings.
