Thread needs solution

Acronis True Image 2021 or Acronis Cyber Protect (2022) CD/DVD Doesn't recognize SK Hynix 512 GB SSD to create backup in case I need to recover.  Also doesn't recognize Seagate Baracuda 2tb sata to backup image to.

Daniel, welcome to these public User Forums.

What CD/DVD are you referring to in the context of this topic?  Is it an original install disc for ATI 2021 or ACPHO, or is it a CD/DVD created from the install program, or one downloaded and created for an .ISO disc image?

The most likely reason the SSD isn't recognised is because it is a PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and you are using Linux based boot media which doesn't have the necessary device drivers for that type of device, or RAID mode is being used by the SSD which again the Linux media doesn't support.

You need to install the Acronis application in Windows on the Dell Vostro then use the Acronis Bootable Rescue Media Builder tool to create the 'Simple' version of the media - this will use the files from the Windows Recovery Environment to create WinPE media that includes device drivers for your installed devices.

For the Seagate Barracuda drive - how is this being connected to this PC, is it an internal or external drive, what file system is being used, is the drive encrypted by BitLocker etc??

The CD bootable media found the SSD when I created a bootable CD with AcronisCyberProtectHomeOffice_39703 ISO.  That was a relief but the INTERNAL Seagate Baracuda SATA 2tb is still not seen.  I will follow your instructions and make a simple ISO.  BitLocker is OFF.  Will get back to you shortly.  Thank you for your help on this matter.

I created a simple boot DVD from the Media Builder in Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office.  It worked!!  I thank you a thousand times for helping me on this.  I have been at a stalemate and my problem is solved.  Best wishes!

Glad that all is sorted Daniel, thanks for the feedback.
