Download of protection updates failed on a fresh installed Windows 11

Thread solved

Hello

Today I did a fresh and clean installation of Windows 11. The installation of Acronis Cyber Protection build 39703 went fine. But it regrets to install the protection updates. Unfortunately I've no idea whether the server is down or the software has a bug and addresses an unexisting path.

Internet is generally connected because I could access Google, Microsoft and a lot of other web services.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Kind regards, Andreas

Andreas, after a clean install of ACPHO, the protection updates can take a while to finish downloading so the best suggestion is to leave it to run for a while then check it later.  The first time of downloading is the most time consuming but should be much faster thereafter.

Hi Steve

It didn't help. When I start download of protection data it starts until the progress bar reaches 55% or sometimes 64%. Then it breaks and tells to try again.

Do you know the link where I can download those data and install manually?

Thanks, Andreas

Sorry, there is no manual download option for protection data to my knowledge.

I'm having exactly the same issue.

I even tried the fresh install of windows 11 and still the same.

Is there a solution forthcoming?

I've now raised a ticket in Acronis Support and will wait for a result there,

Thank you, Steve, for care.

Sounds like a fix is in the works for this issue according to the post linked here

Recently I've received an answer to my support request. He or she told it's a known issue and is under investigation. We will share an update once the issue has been fixed.

So let's wait for a new release.

Today I've recognised that Acronis Cyber Protection 39703 has downloaded the Protection updates.

Therefore the issue is solved most probably for everyone.
