How to get a single backup from two computers

Thread needs solution

I have a pair of external drives (in my case S: and T: - and they are set in Windows 10 to always come up as S & T) . S: has the data, the T is the backup.  I use this pair of external drives on two computers (a desktop & laptop).  I make changes to files nearly daily however changes are only made on one of the computers (Desktop if home, laptop if traveling).

Is there a way to get a single backup TIBX that either computer can update/use?  As S: fills up, T: while bigger ,won't have enough space for two backups.

Ideas?

Patrick, the first issue with trying to get a single TIBX backup in your scenario is the way in which Acronis automatic cleanup works by default and which cannot be changed.

Automatic cleanup only runs to delete an older TIBX (or TIB) file AFTER a new full backup file has been created successfully, so your backup T: drive would need to be able to store 2 TIBX files in order for cleanup to run!

A further issue here is that you cannot have two different systems (PC & Laptop) both updating a single TIBX backup - it simply will not work and runs the risk of corrupting the backup file if attempted.
