December 2021 mandatory update - Windows PC Download build mislabeled?

Thread solved

Group,

I downloaded the mandatory update Windows PC build 8065 file (several times).  After running the install each time, I was able to launch Acronis True Image 2017 successfully.  But it still shows Build level 8058.  That is the build level I was at before downloading and installing the new Build 8065 from the Acronis web site.  I checked the installation files on my computer C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome; and could not see any recent file dates via "date modified".

So I am tempted to conclude that the Build 8065 files posted by Acronis are not the correct Build content. I unzipped extracted the Build 8065 files, and examined the "date modified" for each file.  They don't show any current dates.  The most recent dates are in 2017, original release.

Please advise based on your experience with this "new build 8065".

Thank you.

Hello John!

Thank you for pointing this, I can confirm the download from account.acronis.com results with the build 8058. This is forwarded to respective team for fixing.

Meanwhile, please use this link to download the latest installation file for 2017 version:

Anna,

Thank you for your reply, and for sharing the link.  I downloaded and installed, and now have successfully installed build 8065.

I was about to make a request about the TrueImage 2017 update because I found a major discrepancy on the downloads page. All the listed versions have the same (md5) checksum, which makes no sense, and it's not correct  anyway. I'm glad to have found this page and just installed the update. Please make sure whoever updates the web site updates this download. Thank you.
