True Image 2021 - serious problems with response time

Thread needs solution

I installed True Image 2021 a few days ago. It takes about 5 minutes for the programme to start. Selecting a drive/directory as the source or destination of the backup also takes several minutes. The programme repeatedly reports "No feedback", but in the task manager the programme hardly shows any activity.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the programme, disconnected the connected USB drives - to no avail. According to the article in the Knowledge Base, I have also checked all drives with christal info and then with chkdsk with the result that all drives work without errors.

What else can I do?

Windows 10, 64 bit, Intel i-5-8400, 16 GB, Nvida GTX 1060 6GB

Gerd, there are many reasons why ATI 2021 might perform slowly when first installed.

You need to be running ATI as administrator as advised in your other topic in the forum.

If you have a subscription license for ATI 2021 and are using Acronis Cyber Protection, then you should not be running any other antivirus applications at the same time as this can cause deadlock situations.

Acronis Active Protect by default will perform a daily vulnerability scan of all connected drives in your PC, this again can slow performance.

The number of connected drives can impact on performance as Acronis will attempt to scan these for any available backup archive files (.tib / .tibx) that may be stored on them.

As I have already written: I have disconnected the USB drives from the computer. I have also switched Acronis Cyber Protection off. Neither has brought any success.

Have you tried a repair installation: 60195: Acronis True Image: repair, update and clean installations on Windows? Uninstalling and reinstalling, as you have done, could have the same outcome. Another possibility is a corrupted installation file - try downloading a new copy from your Acronis account.
