I also have the same problem. I could uninstall True Image Home 2011, but not Plus Pack. I need to clean-uninstall the program and reinstall it.

Hello Gerald and JY,

Thank you for posting. I will definitely help you.

You can use our clean up utility to get rid of all program traces. You can find it here together with instructions for using it.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

Hi,

i followed all the steps to use the clean up utility, but my backup & restore link is broken. is there a way to manually fix the links in control panel?

thanks,

Hello J Y,

Thank you for replying.

Could you try the registry file fix from the following KB article please? It is located at the bottom of the page.

If you need additional help, please let me know.

Thank you.

hi Anton,

it didn't work. the registry file is not for windows 7. i manually edited the registry and restarted the machine. the link is still broken. do i really have to re-install windows just because i uninstall the product?

thanks!

This happened to me also.The registry file fix did not work for me and I had to do it manually;

regedit:
1. go to- HKEY_CLASSES-ROOT\CLSID\{B98A2BEA-7D42-4558-8BD1-832F41BAC6FD}\Instance\InitPropertyBag
2.Change the value of Resource DLL to %SystemRoot%\System32\sdcpl.dll (double click on resource dll,in the value data field put in the path %SystemRoot%\System32\sdcpl.dll)
3.Change the value of ResourceID to 14 (Hexadecimal)
4.Restart PC

Have a look at article 14782: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/14782 and scroll down to Grant's post,*****News Alert*****

There was an Article with these instructions that I found when I had this problem but I can't seem to find it anymore.

goodness! it worked. thank you so much. i'd hate to spend a few hours reinstalling windows because i uninstalled a program that's just as good as the windows backup itself...

thanks again

RJ,
Maybe this is the missing article you referenced.

Grant also has a "news alert" in that thread in post 39where he referenced a posting by Acronis support.
