How to consolidate full backups only?

Thread needs solution

Hello,

It seems Echo Workstation is not able to consolidate full backups *only* like ABR10 or Home 2011 as a custom consolidation. I see it can be done with incrementals, but my images are small (<1 GB) and I have no reason to have incrementals. Does Acronis have a separate utility that can run at Windows startup, Windows task scheduler or as a Pre/Post command with similar options as in the latest software? If not, I may design my own. Thankyou.

What should it look like? Consolidation of an incremental backup is creating a new full backup with the content the same as the content of 'base' full backup with all changes in the incremental chain (before this incremental backup) applied, so its restoration results in the same files (disk image) as restoration of this incremental chain. Full backup is full already, it does not depend on any other backups, so it can be just left as is, and older ones that you don't ned just be erased.

I totally understand your explanation, but I only want full backups, not incremetals. I want to limit the number of full backups I save in a location and/or also delete these after a time limit, says 30 days from the date of creation. I have 36 machines making full backups weekly and I don't want to sort this out by manually deleting files. It looks like I will make my own VB program to do this. Thanks.
