where are the list of backups shown??

Thread solved

Hello

I have Acronis set to create a full backup each night. In "Backups" section I see the main drive listed which contains the backup profile and run times I made for creating backups. But I dont see the sequential list of nightly backups that have been created. I see them on the drive but not in acronis. Lets say I have a list of backups 0001 though 0010 and I want to pick 0007. Do I have to use "add backup"? That seems to add the backup i pick to the list but now it seems unscheduled and will stay there forever.

Why arent the added automatically when they are created so I can pick the one I want to use?

The attached photo shows the main drive it is a full backup and there is 1 new full backup that was created this morning but it is not shown anywhere where it can be accessed with ease for restore.

Thanks

Nick, you are seeing correct, normal operation for disks & partitions backups that use .tibx files and which automatically consolidate incremental backup slices into the initial full backup .tibx file instead of creating separate files as was the case with older versions using .tib files.

In order to see the individual backup elements for your backup tasks, there are two options open to you.

In Explorer, you can simply double-click on any .tibx (or .tib) file, and this will open and show you a folder style structure, clicking further will show you the different incremental backup folders.

In the main Acronis GUI, open the Recovery panel, then look near the top where it will show you the date / time of the most recent backup.  This is a drop-down list that when opened will show a list of other dates / times for when earlier backups were created.

See the following KB documents published by Acronis with regards to .tibx files.

KB 63518: Acronis True Image 2020: do not delete first tibx file

KB 63227: Acronis True Image: Do not delete .TIB or .TIBX files outside of Acronis True Image

KB 63444: Acronis True Image 2020 and 2021: tibx backups in local destinations

That second option works well. seems like it should be less hidden. I also wish it would show the full file name.

Thanks!
