Big Questions and totally lost
I have numerous questions that I cant seem to find easy answers for.
I have installed the trial version on a dell Windows 7 x86 Windows Professional computer
I installed the program after initial installation of OS, SP1 and Office SBE 2007
I then made system backup and activated the Acronis F11 option. This works as I need a roll back posn.
(Acronis is still in trial mode for obvious reasons - no work - no pay - then delete and find alternative)
I then upgraded system past SP1, drivers and installed IE9 RC and remaining programs (limited)
I then restored user files and reset user libraries utilising Windows Easy Transfer
(user libraries consist of network share (2 computers - reception & accounts) public is default save for reception enabling accounts (manager) to access both, but his files are private - accounts has acronis.
I as mentioned enabled F11 option and then integrated Acronis into windows (via help icon).
I then tried to setup Acronis to backup User libaries (1 user only) and keeps resetting when I go to edit settings. Backup is working, and done via control panel using continuous backup.
My problems are as follows.
1. Acronis does not recognise initial backup prior to intergration - no biggy as base system install
2. Acronis recovery tab is not showing previous backups under file properties - why?
This is major issue as end users have limited computer knowledge
By utilising this tab user should be able to roll back any file to any date without extensive
knowledge and without having to open Acronis interface. So PLEASE again why not working
Sorry to ask such a novice question but this function is paramount to this solution.
Thanks in advance.

You won't get help. No one at acronis cares. Don't let anyone pay good money for this horrible program. I paid $80 for three licenses and this program doesn't work. Crashes constantly. Makes corrupt backups and clones and the support at Acronis is non existant.
Tell everyone to buy Norton Ghost. This Acronis bunch is nothing but a bunch of scam artists trying to steal unsuspecting users money.

Well so much for help on that one.
For your information do not use the Acronis Secure zone for creating your backup in. The Recovery Tab can not read this.
If you use a standard partition and place your recovery files in that the Recovery Tab will work just fine.
Geeze somebody needs to make the manual a little clearer on that matter.

Leon,
What build is the trial version?
When you activated the ASRM did you get a message that it was searching for the SZ?
I've just double checked with the full version and the contents of the SZ can be seen after booting from the ASRM
I wouldn't advise using the Secure Zone as the one and only image repository on a PC especially a business one. If the drive crashes, your images go too.
I would also caution the use of the ASRM in your particular case, this will overwrite the Dell MBR so the key press to recover the Dell installation/utility partition won't be accessible. I would suggest having the recovery boot environment either on a CD or better still a USB key if your Dell will boot from one.
