I will test uploading another image here.

I uploaded the image above in about 10 seconds. That is very slow, but at least it worked at the time of writing.
For what it's worth these are the steps I normally take when uploading.
1. I click inside the reply box/editor at the bottom of the page.
2. I click on the icon for "Imce File Manager" in the toolbar.
3. I click on the "Upload" button and then the "Add file" button.
4. I select a file on my computer and click on "Open" in the "File Upload" dialog (file picker).
5. I click on the "Select" button. Then begins the waiting process and my image is embedded in the forum post after a few seconds.
If someone from Acronis is following this thread, please update us on what actions you're taking to sort this out.

As I was writing the previous post I noticed in the URL that I'm viewing page 2.
https://forum.acronis.com/forum/forum-administration/feedback-acronis-forum?page=2
But the current pagination number is 3.
So we have a minor bug here.

A lot of the delay appears to be related to Yandex Metrica. But that's not all, the forum server is so slow that my browser tags its POST and GET requests with little turtles (to indicate "turtle slow" responses). If I hover over the little turtle I get a tool tip message saying that the recommended time is 500 ms. You can also see that it took 6.98 seconds total to load upload and load that forum post. And as you can see the console is screaming about all sort of warnings and a few errors.
Editing my previous post results in an incredible delay of almost 13 seconds. That's more than 3 times the recommended half second maximum value.

Time is 15:13pm UK Winter time.
Samir, sorry but you are missing the key point here! I have no issues with using the Imce File Manager to embed images within the text input box, as you have been doing. I and others cannot use the File > Add a new file > Upload option!
- Log in to post comments

will this post? none of my comments or new posts are appearing! They show in my "my account" page, but do not appear in the threads, or in searches of the forum. Please can someone help?!

Thanks Steve! Yes, I totally missed the point. Yes, I can confirm I have the same issue.
Using Firefox 83.0b8 at the moment. I will try a few different browsers shortly.

One thing I noticed just recently as I was testing the upload feature (using Imce File Manager) is that all my recent files now have a long tail or appendix at the end of the file name, in order to make them uniquely identifiable I suppose.
For example, the original file name of the image you see above: testfile.png
Its new name within Imce File Manager is now: testfile_455577dc31c593e9a7f332382f48d507.png
This is not how it worked just a few days ago. It seems a bit odd... someone may be working in the background to improve the system (speculation).

OK, I tested this now in Internet Explorer 11.572.19041.0 and Google Chrome 86.0.4240.183. It's not working in either one.

Still not possible to upload any files again today!
Add a new file: "The file could not be uploaded"
IMCE Tool: "The file is 114,2 KB which would exceed your disk quota of 500 MB"

I suspect that the issue with the IMCE tool is that you need to get Ekaterina to increase your disk quota - I had this a few years back and my own quota was increased to 1GB.
The file upload issue is still there again today!!!

sorry for the delayed response! The issue has been fixed, please check

Thanks Ekaterina, was very frustrating not being able to use this feature!

Add a new file works.
IMCE Tool did not work: "The file is 114,2 KB which would exceed your disk quota of 500 MB"

Per usual, I will do my testing using images from Wikimedia Commons.

The forum is super slow. Every time I click on a button or link it takes like 10 seconds until it does something. Don't have issues like this on other sites so its not my connection that causes the issues.

I saw the same yesterday but it seemed to have cleared up by the later afternoon (UK time) and has been 'normal' response times today so far! I suspect that Acronis have been tinkering with the forum sofware unless they had issues with their servers!
- Log in to post comments

So now all new posts, topics, comments are coming in as above with just :: new comment to distinguish them!
Sorry but this is another backward step in the forum notifications and needs to bring back the actual topic title for where the update is being posted!!!
- Log in to post comments

The incoming email notifications look to have expected topic title information again today but am getting random blank emails again, several yesterday and again today!
The blank emails just have the sender address: noreply@forum.acronis.com but with no subject and no body text etc!
Further strange behaviour this afternoon (UK time) as shown in image below that appeared when I wanted to Save this post but which hid the Save button along with File Upload options.
Had to copy my new text, refresh the web page, then paste it back in again!

Why has the # 33 post numbering been removed from all the forums?
This was always useful when referring back to individual posts in topics and now renders doing so far more difficult than it needs to be! Please put back the post numbers!

It looks as if the separate Acronis True Image 2015 Forum has been closed and the contents moved to the Older Versions forum. However the 2015 Forum is still shown but with 0 topics etc and now the Older Versions forum is so large that any attempt to 'Mark all read' results in a 504 timeout error!
The heading information for the Older Versions forum also needs to be updated to include 2015 or else clarified and simplified!
Discussions related to older versions of Acronis True Image Home - Acronis True Image 2014, True Image 2013 by Acronis, Acronis True Image 2012 Home, Acronis True Image Home 2011, Acronis True Image Home 2010, Acronis True Image Home 2009, Acronis True Image 11 Home, etc.
For example: the above could just say:
Discussions related to Acronis True Image 2015 and older versions!
(2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 11, 10, 9, 8 & 7).

In Home > Account > Messages, I cannot see any way to delete messages. Surely there must be a way, so what am I missing?
- Log in to post comments

There is no method provided to delete private messages unfortunately - I would like to do the same, especially loads of spam / hacker type ones!
- Log in to post comments

That's bizarre.
I also receive no notifications for replies to my threads. I don't receive email notifications, even though I selected them in my profile, and I don't receive any notifications even when I am on the forums.
Is there just an issue with my profile? Or, do others not receive notifications about thread replies?
- Log in to post comments

Replies / notifications for same seem to come at sporadic times during the day almost as if are being performing manually to trigger them being sent! I see indications of updates in the forum sometimes hours before I receive an email advising of the same!
- Log in to post comments

But, do you receive notifications within the forum, some visual alert to indicate that you have thread replies? Because I see nothing at all while I am on the forum.
What's the nature of the in-forum notifications? What do you see?
- Log in to post comments

Some screen shots might be easiest to explain here!
As shown above, there are 4 new posts in the ACPHO forum, 1 new in the 2017 forum - though this is not always fully reliable as there are also new posts in the 2020 forum but not indicated above!
The next images above show how new posts / replies are shown within the individual forum pages where 'new' is shown against the topic subject for actual new topics with zero replies, and 'new' is shown under the replies count for topics with a new reply added!
The last image shows the need to sort forum topics by 'Date updated (descending)' to try to better see changes as per the previous images, though again this is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate as some topics are shown out of sequence at times!!
I have not received notification emails for any of the above new topics or replies so far today!
- Log in to post comments

So that appears to be when you view the forum listings. In other forums that I use, any replies to my posts generate a visual notification to me. Usually the notification is a visual symbol (often read) or text in the upper right of the page next to my profile avatar. Clicking that notification or hovering over it displays a list of all my notifications, such as a new comment on one of my threads, a reply to one of my comments, a new private message, etc.
This Acronis forum seems to have nothing like that, no "push" notifications other than email which takes forever.
I see what you mean about all email notifications coming in bulk. Last night multiple emails arrived to tell me of thread replies or other updates, and they all were sent at 8:09 pm even though many of the replies were hours old.

Could we remove the "Auto-search" function on every key entry when typing in the search box? The constant page loads while typing a query mangles what is being typed. Searching only when Return is hit would be a lot more efficient
- Log in to post comments

David, one suggestion here would be to use copy & paste to put your search term in the search box but unless things have changed significantly, then the forum search feature has never been very good!
You can use Google to search the forums if you use the following search approach:
site:forum.acronis.com search-terms

New issue in the forums now with trying to reply to private messages from my account!
Totally useless error message as I am typing normal English characters and was able to paste the exact same reply into a normal forum topic without any error!
What characters are forbidden???

What in God's name is going on with this forum? Speeds are slow as molasses, frequent gateway errors. It takes more than 20 seconds (typically) when trying to log-in or submitting a post.
Furthermore, you made it near impossible for consumers to find and purchase Acronis image products where you had same or similar names for more than 10+ years. And now you're targeting business users and have rebranded as a cyber protection service?
It's time to find and buy another imaging/backup solution.

I am having the same issue. It is just not good enough. This sort of performance has been happening off and on for a few years now. Looks like inadequate resources being allocated on the server. Not a good look for a tech company.

Agreed. This forum has been problematic, with multiple usability issues, since it was launched. The old forum worked far better. I use many forums running on various forum software platforms. This one is the worst.

Recently a have received multiple post notifications at the same time; the most recent was a batch of about 30 all sent at the same time. Looks like a bug somewhere. Often I have already seen the posts on the forum long before the emails were sent.

This is still happening; got over 60 yesterday in one batch. All relating to old posts!
Can something please be done to stop this from happening.

I'm seeing the same thing... not as many as I have fewer posts for which this should happen, but the notifications are a couple weeks out of date.

I suggest everyone send feedback through this official link or from the bottom of the page. Copy/paste your comments from here. I'm sure Acronis staff are efficiently working from home these days.

I have now turned off all notifications in my Acronis account profile settings (except those for private messages) due to the daily volume of old notifications for topics that are up to a month or more old! It is quicker to just check in the forums for any new / updated topics than to wade through 30+ emails with no indication in them of when any update was actually made!
