Change Initial Backup Time

Thread needs solution

Hello Everyone,

We made some recent changes to our network that required us to create new backup plans in Acronis.  When we did this it wants to start backups at 2:00 PM instead of 7:00 PM like we have configured.  Is there a way to change this?  If it runs during that time access to resources on the servers will slow to a crawl, if I could at the very least push it to 5:30 that would be helpful.

Edit:

This is Acronis Virtual Host backup for ESXI.  Its setup as a Linux appliance.

Hello Keegan Santos!

You can change the start time, time window and performance window (so you can throttle backup speed and preserve bandwith) all in the plan options.

Hi, yes i'm aware you can customize the time through this page, however its ignoring the settings on the schedule and just starting whenever.  I've attached a snip.  On the left is the schedule, showing a configured start time of 7:00 PM.  On the right is a screen shot of the VM in the "All devices" page showing its "Next backup" time as 2:00 PM.

Try revoking and reapplying the plan

Peter,

I have tried this a few times and it doesn't seem to affect it.

Hello Keegan,

I've found information about a known issue when a plan is not starting by schedule if the current time on VA (executed via "date" command) is different than the set timezone in UI.
When executing a backup/replication, the product is looking at the set time on VA and starts the plan according to it. Rebooting the VA should help with this particular issue.
