SnapshotStorage registry setting has no effect

Thread needs solution

I have been having problems with ABR10SBS on SBS 2008, with the errors:

Message: Error occurred while reading the file.
Message: Failed to read the snapshot.
Message: Not enough storage is available to process this command

So I thought I would move the temporary snapshot file.

I uninstalled ABR10SBS, Acronis Recovery for Exchange, re-installed according to:

10291: Installation of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10, Acronis Recovery for MS Exchange and Acronis Recovery for MS SQL Server on the Same Machine
http://kb.acronis.com/content/10291

I have an Online Backup licence

then changed SnapshotStorage to c:\AcronisSnapTMP following this guide:

8032: Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 Creates a Temporary File During Snapshot
http://kb.acronis.com/content/8032

The backup user has full control of this folder.

I then created and online backup plans to existing vaults, and started the online backup, which is a file-based backup.

I found that the TMP file is still being created in the backup users temp location, rather than in the location I specified in the registry.

Please let me know if I have missed something here.

Thanks

Steve

Hello Stephen,

Thank you for posting. I will definitely help you.

The error message - Not enough storage is available to process this command indicates that some other non-Acronis processes are consuming your system's resources. I would recommend the solution from here and if it does not help, please collect this report and contact our Support team directly so that we can help you.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you.
