Christian, thank you for the PDF information but this does not help us understand why there was a problem with your backup task.  The log file(s) for the backup will hold much better information.

Download a copy of the MVP Assistant log viewer tool and use this to look at the logs to see if they show any issues during the operation process?

The latest version of the new log viewer tool is at the link below.
MVP Assistant - New 2.0 with Rescue Media Builder (New Version 2.1.1)

If you have Disks & Partitions backups created on ATI 2020 or later using .tibx files, then look in the Backup Worker logs.

If you have Files & Folders backups using .tib files (or Disk backups from earlier versions using .tib files) or using Cloning then look in the Demon logs.

Other logs are shown by the MVP Assistant under the 'Active Logs' heading of the Log Viewer page of the Assistant.

The Schedule2 log contains information related to scheduled task but is one of the more difficult logs to read / work through.

The log files should be zipped to preserve their original file names if sharing in the forums and would need to be less than 3MB in size, otherwise you would need to share the zip file via a Cloud share service such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc.

for information:

i updated this computer from win10 whith acronis 2018 (.tib), to win11 and when acronis 2018 doen't work on win11, i desided to gos to acronis 2021 (.tibx). that is the expliation of tib an tibx in same folder of backup foler destination.

Chris, both the Backup Worker and Demon logs are showing an error when trying to open the remote network file for both read-only and write operations.  Example from the Demon log.

This suggests that either insufficient authority is available for the credentials used or else there are locks held on the target archive file at the network location etc.

The folder on the NAS ar in read write

Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB RVT01B6Q-1.tibx -> on view folder -> nothing inside

Must I delet all ".tibx" and retested a backup opparation ?

Chris, just looking at the .tibx file names and sizes suggests to me that something is wrong here!

The initial SSD file size at only 28MB does not look right to me, especially if this is meant to be a Disks & Partitions backup.

The rules with .tibx files are much more strict than with the previous .tib files, and when a new backup chain is being created, there is normally a 12KB .tibx file which contains essential metadata that should never be deleted!

The -1.tibx file also looks much too small (789.2 MB) for a 500GB SSD Disk backup image unless you have been backing up an empty SSD drive?

i deleted whith Acronis, the task off backup disk.

Now hi has resting one fil in tibx

What do ?

After i will re creating the same task for bckuping for clean.

tib files, i will they resting save, not delet. I use it for archives.

Chris, delete the remaining .tibx file if you have deleted the task that created it.

topology

pc01 -> \\share\folder-sub02\folder01               - Acronis 2021

pc02 -> \\share\folder-sub02\folder02               - Acronis 2021

pc04 -> \\share\folder-sub02\folder04               - Acronis 2018

What hapen when itche Acronis has "Protection" up, and itch PC up, when pc02 backup whith a task ? is bloking wrinting when a task done on pc02?

It is that que problem ?

Chris, your previous post above with all the screen images and logs only confirms my findings from before, that Acronis is encountering an issue when trying to open the network resource location or write to that location.

Acronis Protection should have no effect with regards to the remote network location and knows to allow Acronis to have read/write access to such archive image files.

I would suggest doing a simple test to prove that this is a network issue, i.e. create a duplicate backup task to write to an external USB storage drive, which will show that the source drive can be backed up successfully, plus what the backup .tibx file should look like in terms of size etc.

Hello,

I tested whith an usb HDD and hi backuped correcly -> OK

i test also whith wifi only -> KO

the test whith usb Eternet -> KO

on usb Ethernet in change the MTU to 1400 -> olso KO

on a other pc and same share root but not folder -> OK

whath rong on the ethernet or wifi for faild ? have you an idea ?

best regard

Chris, sorry but if the backup works fine to an external USB HDD but fails across any network connection, then the issue looks to be in the latter area, though what it might be is a mystery!

I have a mix of regular backups using local, external and network destinations with both ethernet and wireless connections being used, all of which have been working just fine for many years.

You may wish to consider doing an in-place install upgrade of Windows on this PC after first trying the follow repair commands:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
SFC /scannow

Hello,

I tested step by step ieach command -> KO

Formating all (Windows) PC to clean =  same problem -> KO

On an other PC, i have also Acronis 2021, but the files saved are .tib and not .tibx....

Wher do you choice tib or tibx files extention for backup on Acronis ?

I don't rememer me having choice tib on other pc for saving and on pc problem haven't choice tibx.

best regard

I think te problem is located to the ptoblem PC, but what is creating this ptoblem ? That's the good question.

link to type of PC problem

Chris, ATI 2020 / 2021 and ACPHO now default to creating backups using .tibx files for all new Disks & Partitions backup tasks.  Backups using .tib files are only created for Files & Folders for these versions.

The root issue for this topic does look to be with one specific PC rather than with Acronis and as such is more likely to be related to hardware.  If any overclocking of CPU or Memory etc is used on this PC, then it would be recommended to remove this and test without such changes.

I change the protocole of backup destination.

problem protocole

\\192.168.10.xx\share

to

nas://SYNOBACKUP/share

for solving

and add my SSID from WIFI
