Acronis Only Backing up C:\

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis True Image Home 2010.

Recently I needed to restore some files from the Data files backup that were on secondary internal hard drive on my computer (not the primary boot drive c:\). When I opened the most recent backup file I noticed that only the files that were on c: had been backed up (documents & settings, desktop, etc.).

I checked the backup task settings and files that I needed from v: were definitely selected for backup, and there were no errors in the log. I can even see in the log where it says something like "locking partition v:". I checked back for 2 months and it appears that the only thing that has ever gotten backed up are files from my c: drive. The files I have selected from F: and V: do not appear to have been backed up. These are all internal drives.

Is there any reason why this would happen, and how can I fix it?

I must be honest, I've checked all our internal resources, and there are no known issues that would match your description. So the situation requires investigation. But before we proceed with the investigation, I'd like to offer you a possible workaround.

According to the description you've kindly provided, it may be a Scheduler issue. Scheduler is a part of the product that is responsible for the task execution and running. In order to fix the problem, please update this components as mentioned in this KB article.

Should the issue remain, please gather Acronis Info, submit a case with the information attached, and let us know it's number?
