What happens if my drive grows over the cloud size limit?

Thread needs solution

I just began to use the backup feature and so I have customized it so that I have my main (windows) drive backing up to a 4TB secondary drive, then replicating that backup to the Acronis cloud. Problem is that my windows drive is 2TB and I only have the 1 TB subscription. Assuming I (inevitably) fill the drive up past the 1TB mark, what will happen to the replicated data? Will it find and delete less crucial data or will it simply refuse to do anything else until I make the windows drive smaller? Will it cause problems with the original backup to the 4TB drive as well or will it just stop once the replication part begins?

Dear Justin Martens,
Welcome to Acronis public Forums.
Backup files never take as much volume as the data itself; it's always compressed.
Concerning the Cloud limit, you must receive a notification that you are running out of space in advance and thus backups will fail due to the lack of space.

Over time, using Replica takes more time and more space that creating a cloud specific backup. With a cloud backup there is effectively only one full backup (which coupled with deduplication) makes the process far more frugal when it comes to cloud storage, whereas with replica to the Acronis cloud there will be multiple backups.
