Recovery Disk

Thread needs solution

Everytime now I use the recovery program (Linux), everytime I select the backup to restore from, the program crashes and dumps a report on the usb stick. Any ideas anyone?

Mark, at a guess, I would suspect that the Linux based rescue media is not compatible with your computer or the options being used by the computer hardware.

The recommendation here is to create the 'Simple' version of rescue media which will create Windows PE based media from files in your Windows Recovery Environment, including device drivers for your hardware.

Mark,

More details about your issue are helpful.  Machine specs are also helpful.

Tried the WinPE version and this works fine. If I press F11 at startup and use that version when I select recovery it crashes, except if I select to recover Files and Folders, which works fine.

Once it has crashed, I have to disable and then re-enable the option.

Mark, your screen image shows the Linux media being used.
