Can't backup error

Thread needs solution

Worked last time OK but now get red "X" between source and target location. Target location path is correct, and I test connection and it's ok. I'm backing up from Win 11to WD MyCloud Home

Activity only shows "failed due to error, backup error"

thanks

Dear LARRY HANLON,
Thank you for posting. Can you please specify what product version are you talking about?

Larry,

I have experienced this myself from time to time.  My theory is that if backup task fails to connect to a network location for any reason, then this error surfaces.  The only solution I have found is to click on the "v" symbol to the right of the backup name and from the menu you see select Delete then, select Remove.

The above action will remove the backup task from the list.  Next look to the bottom of the task column and find the Add backup button then look to the right of that for another "v".  Click on that symbol and select Add existing backup.  Now, navigate to the backup location and re-select it or, in some cases you might need to select the source data again.  Once you do that run through the options and make sure that all your settings are still correct.  If not correct those settings.  Then finally run the task again and all should be well.

That did work for me, but deleted the task along with backup on cloud drive and started as new.

thanks
