Acronis Server Cannot Be Reached

Thread needs solution

Apparently, installation problems have persisted for many years relating to the Acronis server not being able to be reached.  I have spent hours trying to troubleshoot, including checking the Firewall and Acronis services, which all appear to be fine, but Acronis still will not install.  I can log onto the Acronis website without issue.

I was extremely disappointed in the AI Chat, and have been frustrated by the lack of support to resolve this issue.  It would be great if a real live human from Acronis would address this issue.  As a long-time user of Acronis, I hate to change products but unless there is a solution I have no other choice.  I am using a Dell desktop with Windows 11 Home 64.

Is there no official support for Acronis any longer?

Hello Robert, thanks for contacting.

From the behavior you describe it's complicated to know the root cause because many factors

can affect the installation.

From the key registered I can see the product is not entitled for support anymore.

I would advise you to upgrade the product for a supported version.

Alternatively you can follow and apply the troubleshooting steps of this KB:

https://kb.acronis.com/content/46710#Issue_types_by_root_causes_and_tro…

Hope this helps!

Well, the old key might not be entitled to support anymore, but the new key I am trying to register and install is.  It came with an external drive which I would like to use for backup.

Also, when I originally purchased Acronis (complete version) I don't think there was anything about it would not be supported at some point in the future.  But that is not the version I am trying to install.

Regardless, a new version of Acronis which accompanies my HyperX drive will not install.  The web is full of similar reports.  Fix it.

Rpbert, some OEM versions are out of date and will exhibit this problem. The WD and Seagate OEM are recent builds. Last time I looked the Kingston version was incredibly ancient; there is post in another thread saying you can ask Kingston technical support for an up-to-date version. The provision of technical support is the responsibility of the OEM under their OEM agreement with Acronis.

My understanding is that in the latter part of 2022 Acronis worked with all its OEM partners on updating their OEM versions. It appears that some OEMs have not yet updated the version they are supplying to users. Kingston still has a version based on ATI 2016 on its download page.

Hello Robert.

Please check the KB regarding the OEM products:

Support for OEM versions of Acronis products is provided by the OEM vendors distributing these products. To get support for an OEM version of Acronis product, please contact the hardware manufacturer.

Thanks in advance!
