Why is Acronis Cyber Protect so God Damn Useless ?
I have been using Acronis products for years and I remember those halcyon days was fast and could be used properly. The 2014 version of ATI was fantastic.
Now however even the paid products such as we use are just too slow to be of any use. it looks like ATI has been completely crippled and is just useless.
It takes so long to find disks, it tells me that I need extra space when cloning to identical 1Tb drives, which I do not.
It really is one of the most awful pieces of software we have ever seen.

Why is it so damn hard to find the installer for Linux? I've downloaded a bin file, which doesn't work. Is there some reason you don't use any of the standard methods for installation on Linux that are available and proven? About to start looking for another option, cause Acronis is failing in every possible way. Terrible UI, terrible support, terrible installation, terrible documentation.

Hello!
This product doesn't have any agent for Linux. It just supports Windows and Mac. That's clearly stated in the pre-requisites if you take a look in the user-guides:
- https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/ATIMAC2020/index.ht…
Just our corporate and MSP products are compatible with the Linux OS.
Note that Acronis True Image 2020 is out of lifecycle since 2020. We don't support or update it since a few years ago. https://www.acronis.com/en-eu/support/lifecycle/consumer/#true-image
Best regards.

Christian, welcome to these public User Forums.
If you are using Linux, then there are existing tools available to you including 'Disks' which can create images - I have been using TimeShift on my Linux boxes which looks to work well for me.
