How can I backup folders that were migrated to a new server without creating a new backup?

Thread needs solution

Acronis is protecting file shares on a Windows server, totaling about 3TB, using the local paths. (D:\Shares\Folder1, Folder2, etc...).

This server has been replaced. All the data was migrated already to the new one using Robocopy, and the local paths are identical to the old server. Now I want to install an Acronis agent here to continue backing up the data without creating a new backup chain. How can this be accomplished? My impression is that adding the new agent to the existing plan and choosing the new local folders will create an additional backup, not continue the existing one.

Hello Joseph.

That can be archived following this KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/59725

Let me know if that helped!

Thanks in advance!
