usb boot of true image home 9 on asus eepc netbook

Thread needs solution

my asus eepc netbook 1101HA with windows 7 home 64 has a problem. I chopped the HD in c and d and have images on d. windows on c: does not work properly. I want to replace it with an image. trueimage on c: does not work, so I want to boot with a USB.
on an other (the same) netbook I made a bootable media. placed this on the USB.
in bios of my asus I disabled the bootboost-option (indicated by asus website), made the usb (removable disk) the first to be booted from, but it wil not start from here. windows from harddisk starts.

how can I start from usb and start true image home?

on the usb is:
ramd6.dat
kern7.dat
icon8.png
spa5.run
ramd2.dat
kern3.dat
icon4.png
spa1.png
icon_48.png
bootmenu.exe
bootmenu.xml
mouse.com
bootwiz.sys
bootwiz.cfg

Hello Ronald,

Welcome to Acronis Forum, it's nice to have you with us. I understand your concern, and will do my best to help you.

It appears to be the bootable media issue itself. It's not very clear how exactly the bootable USB was made, and also some glitch could have occurred, so I'd advise you to recreate the media according to these instructions:

  1. Download the updated ISO from your account
  2. Create a bootable USB drive with it according to these instructions

These steps should resolve the issue, but should it reoccur or should you have any additional questions, let us know, we will be glad to help.

Thank you!
