Computer freezes when I connect a usb-c drive dock
My computer freezes when I have a usb-c drive dock that contains a PCI-e NVMe M.2 drive connected to a usb-c port, when I try to boot from Acronis MVP bootable usb drive. Can anyone help with this, please?
Thanks,
Rick

Your symptoms suggest that the drive dock you are using is reporting itself to boot media environment as a removable drive and the driver being loaded for it is not compatible with the docks controller.
You can try using the MVP Assistant Rescue Media tools Driver Analyzer function to discover what driver is installed on your windows system for the dock. Once you know that create new boot media and add that driver to the build using the Advanced option or use the Rescue Media builder of the MVP Assistant and add the driver.
This would be your best chance at overcoming the problem.

Steve,
Yes, I can boot from the MVP rescue disk with the drive dock disconnected. I will try to connect it when I am in the MVP environment and see if that works. As always, thanks much for your expert advice.
