Accessing TIB files from an old redundant Drobo device
Several years ago I ran a pc with a Drobo 4 bay for desktop storage and Acronis for cloud back ups. I've since stopped using both Acronis and Drobo and have switched to Mac. I'm currently on a house cleaning mission to pull all my old files together and when connecting my drobo to my macbook all I see are huge TIB files which I can't access since they won't open.
I've downloaded a free trial of Acronis to access these files but I can't see them anywhere within the Acronis dashboard as it doesn't recognise my Drobo. Has anyone experienced similar and have any advice?
Many thanks

Phil, welcome to these public User Forums.
If the .tib files on your Drobo were created from a Windows PC using Acronis for Windows, then these are not compatible with Acronis for Mac.
See KB 1689: Backup archive compatibility across different product versions - which has tables showing what archive files (.tib / .tibx) are compatible with which product versions.
In summary, you need Acronis for Windows to read .tib files created by that family of products, else you need Acronis for Mac if the .tib files were created in the Mac environment. The only exception is for files stored in the Acronis Cloud.
Note: you can use bootable rescue media to access the .tib files provided it is of the correct / matching type.

Thanks so much for your advice gents really appreciate it.
I'm going to try rebooting an old pc tower and see if it works.
