Acronis shows backups that cannot be recovered anyway.
Hello. I burn *.tibx backup files and save them on my hard drive. What should I do to be able to use them with Acronis Cyber Protect 15.0 . The files are in "folder_name" and it adds this folder as a backup store. There are currently two files in the folder

I go into Acronis and theoretically I have 28 copies. I take, for example, August 05 2022 and verify the copies and I have an error
""cause_str": "The specified file could not be found.\r\n",
"effect_str": "TOL: Failed to execute the command. Validation",
"os_error_code": "0x80070002",
"path": "\\\\?\\UNC\\adminpc2\\acr\\Komunalka_SERWER-CA.ugolesnica.local-9A2912DE-BA1B-4837-84A3-FD962268389E-A40FC30E-6215-4E9D-9B03-F29A8AF20DB3A-0066 .tibx"
Why does acronis show me the ability to recover a copy if there is no physical file available?
backup file name: Disk C_SERWER-CA.ugolesnica.local-ECCDF5E2-FF31-4BF8-B58E-BFD3A6E33C6E-A40FC30E-6215-4E9D-9B03-F29A8AF20DB3A and "no backup"!

But I burn tibx files additionally on blueray - how should I use such a backup in the future? I thought it just copies such a file to disk and adds a NEW location and it works.
In general, I'll be honest - I feel more confident with "windows backup" than with Acronic. There I have files that windows can see on any other hardware without any problems. And here without the program I can't do anything with tibx files. And even with the program, it turns out that miracles do happen.

You didn't say what sort of location it is, but if it's a network share you can copy the tibx files elsewhere and it should work. You just have to refresh the location after to let acronis update the recovery points. You can also put together a script that uses acrocmd to copy/move the backup and remove it from the old storage.
If you have deduplicated location, you could significantly cut down on storage space even if you only make full backups.
Replication is *NOT* a copy, mostly because it takes into account the data that's present on the target. Which may be a different backup chain. Though this doesn't apply if you have only full backups and no deduplication.
I also have reservations about optical storage as backup medium, but it's an orthogonal problem to moving tibx files elsewhere.

I've found windows backup severly limited for all but the simplest cases. Easus has an article about some of the limitations it has. If it's not relevant to you, sure do use it.
I don't know I understand the arguement about needing a program to manipulate a file, this isn't all that new. Other backup solutions also have their own proprietary formats for which you need their own software to manipulate. If you are thinking of such long term that this is cause for concern you are opening another can of woms.

Hello!
Thank you for reaching out. We appreciate your concern regarding the manual deletion of files. Our software doesn't support manual deletion to avoid the risk of accidental file corruption, which could occur if the wrong file is deleted. Therefore, any files you see in the console were not deleted by our software.
However, if you deleted the backups through the console as usual, and the files still appear there, we recommend checking the backup settings and configurations to ensure everything is set up correctly. If the issue persists or if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact our support team. https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153
Thanks in advance for your understanding!
