Advertising distractions!

Thread needs solution

Besides uninstalling or being forced onto a subscription is there anyway to stop the annoying advert pop I that is now delivered daily!

For an allegedly dead product it's disappointing to get that new addition planted in the middle of my screen every time I turn my computer on, there is some good news in that it has prompted me to look around the market at available products again which I suspect wasn't the intention.

Hello Chris!

Thanks for participating!

Open the notification (by clicking on Learn more when the notification appears) and check Don't show again box.

Please check this KB for more details: https://kb.acronis.com/content/57373

Hope this helps!

Currently True Image 2019 is pushing ads (50% upgrade to Cyber Protect)  to me via system tray notifications on three of my PCs.  There's no "Don't show again" check box on the notification or the Learn More screen.

Why does Acronis continue to annoy paying users of your products like this? You're making it very unlikely that I'll recommend your products to others and when it's time to upgrade my own software, why would I pick a company that pesters me like this?

Notifications of deals should be done via opt-in emails or trial versions and not via paid and licensed versions of applications on a users PC.

Hello Anard.

Please re-check the KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/57373

The mentioned on the KB appears. You should check it and after the add will disappear.

Thanks.

Hello,

I have read KB 57373 and I have never once seen the option to click "Dont show again".  Attached is the resulting window after clicking "Learn More". Please provide instructions to remove these advertisements or remove my account from the advertising list.

Thank you

Thanks for replying.  I do not have the option for "Do not show again".  Here is a screenshot of the notification and the "Learn more" screen

Hello Anard.

Please click on the X in the top right corner and the notification will disappear.

Thanks in advance!

well we are well past 6/15. sure the notification will disappear, but another will eventually pop up. I purchased a perpetual license and am happy with my current features. I do not want to buy a new version. How can i stop these intrusive advertisements?

Hello!

In fact, we had a campaign. At the moment, it should be over. However, when you receive the pop-up, you need to click on the exit button; there's no way to remove it from the program. I understand this may be inconvenient, and the team has been informed. Thanks.

And here we go again... another ad campaign, more unwanted pop-ups from a program we've paid for.   This time one of the pop-ups minimized my game while I was playing.  Nice.  Clicking the X just dismisses the pop-up but it comes back after a while.

These guys clearly don't care reading the forums and only seem to stop ads at an account level by exception for their large volume customers.

If they don't want to give the ability to turn it off then I'm happy turning all notifications off and checking once a week it's doing it's thing rather than it interrupting full screen applications.

As they won't give any help here's what I'm trying and will keep you updated..

Stop all services apart from Scheduler2 that you have running and disable:

While True Image is closed go to the install folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis\TrueImageHome in my case) and rename TrueImageMonitor.exe to something like TrueImageMonitor.exeOLD

Seriously, shame on Acronis and their 'marketing' team.
