Build 40729 vs 40713 ?

Thread needs solution

It’s been only two days since I installed ACPHO build 40713. Today a message popped up about a new build 40729. However, at first glance, there are no differences between them according to release notes? Nevertheless, I installed this new build and a universal restore at the same time.

I installed only a backup module.

Regarding this I have some questions:

First, there is an exact copy of copy of downloaded file in a temp folder with the same size as a file from Acronis web site (904 MB). Do I have to keep it, for possible changes. i.e. an addition of real time protection components in the future ? Is it safe to delete? Where does Acronis keep the installation file for subsequent changes?

At the end of installation of Universal Restore, one is instructed to register, and the link is provided. Is it a separate registration from Acronis standalone product and is it mandatory?

I already made bootable USBs (Linux and WinPE) with ACPHO build 40713. Am I supposed to repeat this again?

Do Acronis plan to issue updates every couple of days in the future?

Srdjan, build 40729 looks to fix issues found in 40713 for users.  You shouldn't need to keep the installer file unless you want to use it for other PC's without doing further downloads.

I haven't seen any register requests for AUR that I can recollect and it has not required any separate registration previously!

It is normally recommended to create new rescue media when new builds are installed but you could wait a week or more to see if Acronis find any more issues to fix!
