Invalid file handle after upgrade to 40729
Hi,
I updated my Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office yesterday, but overnight my backup to my NAS failed with "Invalid file handle".
Maybe coincidence?
Is this a known error?
Cheers,
M.

It's not just you. I'm having the same exact problem. Looks like I need to open a support ticket as well.

+1
Having upgraded, All my backups have failed with the same "Invalid file handle" error. Trying to open any of my backups' "Options" also opens a prompt with the same error and the following additional info in the prompt:
"Event code: 0x00040025+0x0000FFF0+0x80070544"

THANK YOU I've been waiting to connect with Acronis support for a week and a half after filing a ticket on this. Our scheduled phone call was 30 min ago (after initially being offered a 1:45am call time, lol) and I've officially given up on getting any help. But this was the issue, I'm back in business. Thank you!!

Hello Eric!
Please accept our apologies with the delay in getting the session.
I have communicated the situation to the team.
Regarding the issue I assume you solved it yourself applying the workaround mentioned above.
Best regards.

I have had a similar problem since build 40729 was released and automatically updated in my laptop.
Creating a virtual disk (.vhdx) from a backup (image file .tib) has been impossible.
I get error 0x4000C and the message "error writing on sector '0' at disk '1'. Fle is read only".
Tried several solutions (chkdsk, changing readonly config at diskpart) and sending System Report & Screen Shots to Acronis Support. Tried solving this issue for a month and a half already. No success.
Yesterday, I found a turnaround:
- I downloaded ATI 2021 (30-day trial) to a different laptop.
- made the backup (from my .tib file)
- created the virtual disk (.vhdx) from the backup.
- The process ran swiftly. The virtual disk was created correctly, no problems.
Something must be wrong with ACPHO build 40729.

Hello Francisco,
Thanks for adding the information. This thread is related to a different issue, specifically the backups located on a NAS.
Regarding the issues with mounting, I would suggest that you raise a ticket with our support. As far as I can see, there aren't any tickets related to that issue: https://kb.acronis.com/content/8153
Best regards.

Jose, see topic Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office Build 40729_Error 0x4000C "error writing on sector 0 disk 1. File is read-only" from Francisco that I am also able to reproduce.

Hello!
