How to create a mountable disk image?
I am upgrading from a Win 10 laptop to a Win 11 laptop. I would like to create a complete backup of everything on the Win 10 computer on a USB drive that I can then mount on the Win 11 computer and access the files and folders with File Manager. I can then copy stuff over as I need to.
A friend told me that Acronis can do that, but I see that there are seveal products. Can someone tell me which one I need to get and maybe any tips I need to get it to work?
Thanks
PS: I am not looking for something free. I am happy to pay for something that is reliable and easy to use.

Jose,
Thanks for the help. I was able to install the Home Office trial on the old Win 10 machine and the disk image backup is about half done.
I was also able to install it here on the new Win 11 machine. As soon as the backup finishes, I will try to access the files here.
One of the KB articles above mentioned "syncing two computers". Is there a detailed KB about that? I was planning on using Beyond Compare to sync the folders.
Thanks
