Cyber Protect Home Office Install Problem
Hello
I've just purchased a license for the latest version of Cyber Protect Home Office.
Cyber Protect Home Office fails to install because it states that I have two Microsoft patches which are missing.
These being:
kb4474419 (windows6.1-kb4474419-v3-x64_b5614c6cea5cb4e198717789633dca16308ef79c)
kb4490628 windows6.1-kb4490628-x64_d3de52d6987f7c8bdc2c015dca69eac96047c76e)
I've downloaded these two patches and both say that they are already installed.
I have a Windows 7 Home installed at the moment. Yeah I know it's old but it works.
Does anyone know how to work around this install problem.
Regards
Gavin

Gavin,
I have Windows 7 on a virtual machine. I wanted to see this issue, so I installed ACPHO build 40729. It installed and activated with no problem. I have two suggestions for you to try:
1. When I installed the program, I selected Custom Install. Then I unchecked the boxes for protection and just installed the base program in the first checkbox.
2. I looked at Installed Updates in Windows 7. I saw that KB4474419 was installed. I didn't see that KB4470628 was installed. If suggestion 1. above doesn't help, you might try uninstalling KB4470628 to see if that helps.

Paul, that is a good suggestion about the custom install - that option wasn't available when I tried this back in 2021 and I haven't revisited it since it was introduced with build 40107 and later for ACPHO.
