Can't Create Working MVP Rescue Disk for Win 11, Cyber Home Protect
I am running Acronis Cyber Protect Home, Build 39703, under Windows 11, ver 2H21, Build 21000.376, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.376.0 (whatever that means.
I am trying to build a rescue disk using your MVP tool and thus far while the MVP Rescue Disk booted without problem, Cyber Protect Home doesn't load after boot. When I did some troubleshooting, and tried to find the Acronis Cyber Protect Home program on my C: drive, File Explorer told me that my C: drive is unreadable or corrupt. I rebooted normally and my C: drive is fine.
I would note that I followed the instructions on the thread re using the MVP tool with Cyber Protect Home; i.e., I created the required subfolder, copied the required file, and made the necessary registry changes.
Can someone provide advice re making this work?
Thanks, Bob

Hello,
First, it's important to ensure that you're using a compatible version of the MVP tool with your specific version of Acronis Cyber Protect Home. Make sure to check for any updates or patches for both the MVP tool and Cyber Protect Home to ensure compatibility.
If you've followed the instructions provided in the thread for using the MVP tool with Cyber Protect Home, it's possible that there may be some compatibility issues or conflicts with your system configuration. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
-
Verify the integrity of your C: drive: Run a disk check utility or use the built-in Windows tools to ensure that your C: drive is functioning properly and not corrupted.
-
Check for any conflicting software: There might be other security software or applications running on your system that are causing conflicts with Cyber Protect Home. Temporarily disable or uninstall any other security software and try creating the rescue disk again.
-
Try a different method: If the MVP tool is not working as expected, you can try using alternative methods to create a rescue disk for Acronis Cyber Protect Home. Acronis provides its own rescue media creation tool. Check the Acronis documentation or support resources for instructions on how to create a rescue disk specific to your version of Cyber Protect Home.
-
Contact Acronis Support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it's recommended to reach out to Acronis support directly. They will have the expertise to assist you further and provide specific guidance based on your system configuration and software version.
Remember to provide them with detailed information about your system, including the version numbers of Windows 11, Cyber Protect Home, and any error messages you encountered during the process. This will help them better understand the issue and provide a more accurate solution.

Sofia, MVP does not refer to a minimum viable product.
