Acronis 11.7 Recovery Plan seems that not assing properly the IP Address to Network Interface.

Hi All,

I'm working with Acronis 11.7, and I had to recover a couple of machines, so I decided to execute the Recovery tasks from the management console.

It seems that the task started well, the computer restarted automatically executing Acronis Boot Manager, then, the computer achieve 15% of progress and nothing else. Some minutes later it finished the task unsuccessfully.

What I could verify after that was Acronis could not recognize the four Network Interface Adapters that the machine has, and of course it could not assing the proper IP address to them.

Some days later, with another machine with four NICs, Acronis Boot Manager detected the 4 Network Adapters but it assigned incorrectly to them the IP Addresses.

Does somebody know how can I fix this issue?

I supposed that the recovery task should send to the boot manager the MAC and IP addresses and, then, with that hash table assing the proper IP to the NIC by the MAC. Isn't it?

Thanks in advance for your support.

Hello!

Welcome to the forum.

I would suggest you to use the bootable media instead:

Best regards.

Thanks Pedro for your answer.

Obviously, I used Acronis Bootable Media (Linux and Windows PE) to recover the machines.

But my question still is: Why the Recovery Tasks were not able to recover the backups from the Network due the missalingment between the Network Interface Card and the IP addresses?

Regards

Hello! It's complicated to explain why without information and troubleshooting. Using the bootable media is the advisable method for recovery, and I'm glad you chose that option.

However, please be aware that the product is outdated since 2018/19, and we don't provide any support or updates for it.

- Check Network Drivers: Ensure that the network drivers for the machines are up-to-date. Outdated or incompatible network drivers can lead to recognition issues by Acronis Boot Manager. Update the drivers and try the recovery process again.

- Verify MAC and IP Settings: Double-check the MAC addresses and IP settings on the machines before initiating the recovery task. Ensure that they match the information stored in your Acronis configuration. Any discrepancies may result in improper IP assignments.

Best regards.
