Can we get some clarification on point 2. above. The phrase "the newest backup format" has me wondering... is there something other than.tibx coming?

Hello!

It's not related to the backup file naming (as far as I could see). It's related to some structural changes that are planned to be integrated next year. Changes in the UI to make it more friendly and simple, new features will be integrated (I can't disclose them because it's still in the development phase), and the name of the product may also change. This new build is part of that transition.

Best regards.

I just opened up ACPHO on my test machine and it told me there was an update available. But when I clicked to download the update it kept telling me my internet was off or it was being blocked by anti-virus. The error occurred within a second.

I went to the Account page and tried from there and it gave me an error that flashed so fast I couldn't see it.

Finally went to my online account and was able to readily download the new version. Download was fast. The update went well and I am now running Build 40901. A full backup is now in progress.

I have not seen what's new yet. Everything looks just like the prior version.

Bruno, I have updated my three systems with the latest ACPHO and all went smoothly - one of them got updated when I ran the Microsoft application installer -
(winget upgrade -h --all -r --accept-source-agreements --accept-package-agreements)
which is a first for me - previous updates failed on the install for Acronis!  I too haven't seen anything in the GUI look & feel that is different as far as I can tell but I have only been using ACPHO for testing.

Not sure if it happened in the latest build, but I was doing my regular up-dtaing of my ancient Dell notebook, after which I instigated a manual cloud backup and got a warning that it used an old "format" and recommended that I create a new backup task.

Hello, there is a bug in this build! Active Protection doesn't work for me, it can't be turned on either, it's not available at the moment. Your computer is not protected! It does not allow you to do anything with the services, a topic has already been created about this error, but it does not provide a solution! https://kb.acronis.com/content/71855
