WD backup files

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have my WD Passport drive. I have installed Acronis for WD. But there is no option to restore or read the WD Backup files? It just offers me to create a new backup. I was hoping that with Acronis I can still access existing WD backups

Am I missing something?

Best regards:
Stoyan

Hello!

Support for the Acronis OEM  software is handled through the company whose product contained the Acronis OEM software, as they are best equipped to understand the specific OEM application as well as the relationship between the Acronis software and their product. Acronis works closely with the OEM on investigating and solving issues that arise.

Please contact WD and raise the issue directly so they can help you to solve it: https://kb.acronis.com/content/2201

Best regards.

Hello,

Happy New Year and thanks for your fast response!

Forget about WD support. I am happy to buy any product you have that can import and manage WD backups. Do you have something you can sell me?

Hello!

Currently we have the Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office: https://www.acronis.com/en-us/products/true-image/

You could perform a trial of the product and test if you can add those backups performed with WD https://kb.acronis.com/content/60918

Best regards.

Yes, I would also suggest trying with a trial version of ACPHO (Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office).
