Open tib file

Thread needs solution

Recently my computer crashed. I had to reinstall Windows 10. Of course windows changed the device name of the computer. I have a backup file (DESKTOP-2V00SDH_full_b22_s1_v1.tib). How can I open this? Double clicking on it does not work. I do not want to restore just open for access to files.

Hello!

Welcome to the forum.

You can't open the file without reinstalling the program.

Without the agent, there is no way to open the archive in the explorer.

You can also add the backups in the console following this KB: https://kb.acronis.com/content/60918

Best regards.

I had reinstalled the program but since I had also reinstalled windows 10, which of course renamed the computer.

At that point Acronis would not recognize the TIB files. I tried something, I renamed the computer to the old name and then I could access the file.
