What files have been backed up

Thread solved

I am running Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office, I need to see exactly what files are being backed up, the logs I have found are not making sense, I have used MVPAssistant and this is not providing the right information.

My incremental backups are 30gb+ which does not make sense, so I need to review exactly what is being backed up.

Thanks

Alex, welcome to these public User Forums.

What type of backup are you creating here?  Is it a Disks & Partitions backup (or Entire PC) or is it a Files & Folders backup?

The only real method of seeing changes for incremental backups is via using the Recovery panel for your backup task in the main Acronis GUI where you can select by date and time at the top left side.  There is no log of such changes included in the backup image as that could potentially result in very large log files when thousands of changes are being captured every time.

Thank you for your reply, I was doing a whole PC backup, looking in the recovery panel I could see two folders that really should not be part of that backup, c:\windows\temp and c:\windows\systemtemp excluding those has brought my backups down to sensible levels.

I might move over to files/folders backup I am comfortable installing windows if there is a problem, more worried about user data than anything else.

Thanks again.

The recovery panel is not displaying things correctly, so when I browse the list, ordering by date, it will only show changes in the immediate folder in terms of the date, and in some cases the folder date does not update meaning I have to go into the folder and look for specific files and see when they were last backed up.

There really should be an option for backup logs, I need to see what is actually being backed up. Personally don't care how big they are, but I have things that must be backed up and going through the recovery panel each day is very long winded tbh.

Sadly this may be a deal breaker for me with this product, I am going to evaluate other products now.
