Cannot view files in archive
I have been using this product for the last 2 years and have had no problems until now. I created a full system back up two weeks ago and the host computer crashed yesterday. When I went to restore the image it would not boot up and said I was missing files. I chose to reinstall Windows Xp Service Pack 3. I then copied the image file to my freshly installed Xp computer. This way I could at least drag the important files to the newly created directory. Now the problem, when I open the image and right click properties it shows the back up date and that the image is 18.3 gb, however there are no files, folders etc. I made sure that Explorer was set to show hidden files and I did check the image properties and made sure that the hidden files was not checked. I rechecked my external drive and was able to view the files in other archives, but not this one. Here is the question. How can I view files in an archive that can not be seen. Is there a work around? It is frustrating knowing the files must be there since it shows the image is 18.3 gb. Thank you for your help. Bob

I have the latest build for 2010 version and when I tried to restore and reboot a prompt of missing NTDLR missing. When I tried to mount the archive/image the files can not be seen. I would beleive it was a bad backup, however it shows the correct file size??

Try Exploring it instead of Mounting it. Also, see if you can Restore files & folders or if that is also empty. You could boot to the TI CD and see if it shows anything inside when Restoring files & folders (if it doesn't show anything in Windows).

I think the problem here might be that the security identifiers for the new installation of XP aren't recognising the SSID's in the image.
After trying Mudcrab's suggestion, if that doesn't work, take control of the image files by right clicking on the tib file select \properties\security, click on the Advanced tab and then add your user name to the permissions list. Make sure that the 'inherit' box is ticked on the bottom left of the panel.
