Can TIH 2010 backup Outlook 2007 on Windows 7/64 while it is running?

Thread needs solution

I am aware that many applications can backup Outlook 2007 while it is running on Windows 7/64 using Volume Shadow Service (VSS).

I am running TIH 2010 on a number of machines and the application seems to provide support for backing-up Outlook 2007.

However, after much searching I still don't know:

1. Is the TIH 2010 backup is a complete backup of all Outlook 2007 files (settings, emails, contacts, calendar etc...)?

2. Can Outlook 2007 on W7/64 be backed-up while it is running -- or does the application need to be closed prior to TIH backup?

I have searched the TIH 2010 help files and found nothing.

And, I have found these two KB articles online -- but they don't seem to refer to TIH:

http://kb.acronis.com/content/1681

Can anyone shed any light on these two questions?

Thanks

Hello blafarm,

Thank you for posting. I will certainly help you with your questions.

A disk backup created with ATIH2010 will have a complete set of all Outlook 2007 files, e-mails, settings etc. If you are interested, we have a KB article that shows how to create a database backup without using VSS with ATIH 2010. I believe this is the one you were looking for, you can find it here.

If you have additional questions please let me know.

Thank you.
