Boot and Restart problems with Acronis True Image Home 2011

Thread needs solution

I'm using windows 7 ultimate 64bit and have some problems using the Acronis True Image Home 2011.

1. On a cold boot Acronis True Image Home 2011 seems to lock my network connections. The network connection is unable to initialize properly.
2. the backup hangs and does not seem to finish, stays at 0%. Maybe because of the network problem. I'm using a readynas to backup.
3. on restart I'm getting a blueish windows screen saying: operations in progress...which takes ages to restart the computer.

Thank you for posting and welcome to the forum. I will definitely help you.

For the 1st issue could you try the solution from this KB article please? Changing the irpstacksize usually resolves this problem.

The second issue needs to be investigated. Please contact our Support team with these reports:

1. AcronisInfo.

2. Wireshark logs.

To address the third issue, if you have a scheduled backup/validation task, then this is normal behavior. If, however, you do not have any backups running this is a problem with the software. We are very close to resolving it and most likely this known issue will be fixed in the next update.
