Schedule Create Image with Snap Deploy 3 for Servers
Is it possible to schedule the creation of an image with Snap Deploy 3 for Servers? I have a machine that I need to create an image of and then deploy to another machine every weekend (one is a production server, the other is a test server.) If I need to use the command line or create a script that is fine. I've got everything working perfectly except this one thing.
Thanks,
Chase

Oleg,
So in this case, would Backup & Recovery be a better solution than Snap Deploy? I am still in the testing stages before buying any software, and I want to make sure we purchase the correct thing for the job.
Thanks,
Chase

Hello Chase,
Thank you for using [[http://www.acronis.com/enterprise/ | Acronis Corporate Products]]
Everything depends upon the operation that you want to make completely automated.
Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.0 will allow you to create the backup archives automatically. The program provides with all-round planning of data protection (backup, retention and validation of backups) within a backup policy But it doesn't allow to schedule the recovery (the transferring), the operation will require your interference.
Deployment can be run on a schedule. Scheduling presumes that when the scheduled time comes, the program will power on the computers with predefined MAC addresses using the BIOS Wake On LAN (WOL) functionality. Computers in other subnets can be woken through a WOL proxy agent delivered with Acronis Snap Deploy.
Computers that do not support WOL can be booted into Acronis environment manually before the scheduled time comes.
Unfortunately, the image created with Acronis Backup & Recovery 10.0 can't be deployed by Acronis Snap Deploy 3.0, you are unable to combine these two products.
Thank you.
