A question about making a recovery disc
I'm going to be putting together a Windows 7 system pretty soon and since I bought the download version of Acronis True Image Home 11 I'm probably gonna need to make a bootable recovery disc so I can restore my computer from the backup images I create.
Here is my question: Can I install Acronis on my current XP 64 Bit system and go into the menu and make a recovery disc? Or won't that work cuz Acronis would be including info from an operating system and motherboard etc. that is not going to be used with the new system?
Do I need to wait to get my new system up and running and then install Acronis on that and then make the recovery disc?

To add to this, there is a simpler way to obtain a boot CD. Register your version of TI on the Acronis web site and then download an ISO of the boot CD for TI 2011 from your account. This will avoid the need to install TI on your existing system.
