ABR 10 full restore from TIB to same harddive
I have a HP computer that the harddisk was accidentally wiped clean. I can not get the computer to read the ABR recovery disk in CD or USB version (no drivers?).
I have removed the harddrive and attached to another machine using a SATA to USB cable. The drive is readable. I attempted a full restore and had to click through literally hundreds of restore errors.
I validated the TIB file used and it checks out OK.
What are the best practices for this type of restore
1) install SATA drive in computer via SATA. Errors may be from slow USB connection
2) should I reformat the drive prior to attempting the restore?
3) Will there be any permissions issues. The backup was created using a different User account than I am using for the restore.
Thanks so much!
Dave

When the harddrive is installed in the HP computer, I can not read the CD, USB or Hardrive. The system gives a blinking screen just after BIOS and that is all I get. I restored the TIB backup to the drive using another computer and it will still not boot (still blinking cursor).
Next step?
