specify volume on incremental backup

Thread needs solution

I have backed up my system incrementally with validation apparently without problem.

I now need to restore some files but when I try a pop-up asked me to specify the volume. When I select the volume it doesn't seem to recognise it and the pop-up reappears.

I backup to a USB drive which has the same drive letter assigned whenever it's connected.

Can anyone help me fix the problem with the one volume?

Cheers

Hello Eddie!

Thank you for your post, I will be glad to assist you.

There can be several reasons for this issue like faulty connection to the USB drive, inability to properly access the backup metadata, etc., thus the situation requires investigation.

In order to localize the issue please move the backups to another location and perform the validation once again. Should the backups be reported as corrupted, please follow the steps specified in this KB article.

Should the backups be valid, and the issue remain, please gather Acronis Info, submit a case with the information attached, and let us know its number.

Let us know if you have any questions, we will be glad to help.

Thank you!

Eddie,

Volume means another TIB file that ATI is looking for. Assuming your didn't rename a TIB file manually, if you browse to each potentially related TIB file and Acronis doesn't like it, you are in trouble.
