E00040011: Specified file does not exist
This just started all of a sudden. I try to make an image and I get this error: E00040011: Specified file does not exist
I have plenty of space on disk, so what does this message mean?
Thanks.

I've been struggling with the same problem for almost a year now! We've almost completely given up on the Acronis product because we couldn't find a resolution to this issue. I've tried:
1. Recreating the master image from scratch
2. Burning the latest version of the bootable disc
3. Running the deployment from a different drive
4. Renaming the master file
We are using standalone deployment using a bootable disc, and deploying the image from an external HD connected via USB.
PLEASE...if anyone has any information on how to fix this error, please let me know. I've wasted countless hours on this issue, and don't really know what else to do.

I should also add that hitting "Retry" when the error occurs doesn't do anything, the error window simply pops up again. I usually end up selecting "cancel," then I receive the error "Failed to prepare restore image operation. May be archive 'E:\E6410 7 64 Bit\06.02.11 is corrupted or is not accessible (Ox330022). Tag= 0x100FE7C3207C540C"

Can you browse to the backup from the recovery CD and then choose validate?

Could you clarify what you mean by recovery CD? I have the Acronis bootable disc for capturing/deploying images, but no other media related to Acronis.
Also, there's been somewhat of an update to this ticket: On the 10th try to deploy, the deployment was actually successfull, even though I didn't do anything different in the deployment process. The only thing I can think of is that I clicked through the options faster than usual, but I don't understand how the time of clicking options would make/break a successfull deployment.
After the image was deployed, the computer lost its boot sector (a separate issue), which was eventually repaired by using a windows 7 boot repair.
I attempted deploying again to another computer, and had the same failures as before, but didn't persist at attempting as long as perviously.

Yes, the recovery CD is the Acronis bootable disk. You should have the option to validate the backup. If it validates, there is little chance it is corrupted. If it doesn't, you should run a chkdsk /r on the disk you are using.
If validation goes through but the backup fails, then this is weird.

There is no option for validating images in the standalone version that I can see anywhere. You only have the option to view the images and deploy them, as well as change minor settings in the deployment process. In a previous support call, we installed the full version of Acronis on a computer, then ran a validation on the images, and all were validated successfully. This issue continues to baffle me.
One theory we have is that perhaps the drive we are using simply can't spin fast enough to provide Acronis with the data it needs to launch the imaging process. We are using 1.5TB Iomega external HD's that connect via USB 2.0. It's possible the connection just isn't fast enough for this particular image because of its size. The other smaller images we have for different models of laptops works just fine, but it is much smaller.
Sorry to wait so long to reply to your last message.

Jackson,
You are not using Acronis True Image Home, are you?

Try renaming your image file to the 8.3 file format. That worked for me.

Jackson,
If you are using the TrueImageHome bootable media Recovery CD, then yes, the CD has the option to validate the image and this validation can be done as separately or as part of a backup created by the CD.
If using TrueImge Home, what version and build?
