Cannot perform a Backup of my HP ProBook 6560b.

Thread needs solution

Hello,
I am attempting to do a (first) backup of a new HP ProBook 6560b using Acronis Backup and Recovery 10. I know this works on our 6550b, but when I boot up on this machine I do not get an IP. I click on "Configure network" and can't make any changes there. Is it possible that there isn't a driver for our new model on our B&R disk?

Thank you for any help you can give.

Hello Terry,

Welcome to the Acronis forum and thank you for your message. I will do my best to help you with this issue.

It is very likely like you wrote that there are no drivers for your hardware on the ABR10 disk. I would recommend the following course of action to resolve this problem. Please collect this report from the bootable media and contact our Support team directly.

As a temporary workaround you can also create your own WinPe media and add your NIC drivers to it. You can read more about it in this KB article.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

I probably did not state my problem correctly. I am trying to push an image up to the server. When I boot up the 6560b using the ABR10 disk, my laptop does not see the network and does not receive an IP. With that happening, the process is stuck at that point. I think even the latest release does not support the NIC on these new laptops.

Hope that explains it better.

I was able to get the image up on our server using the instructions, however, when I tried to pull that image down to a new machine with a clean hard drive I was unable to get to the network. Even "loading" the driver .inf file got me nowhere.
