Acronis Tru Image Home 2010 won't open
As noted I have Acronis True Image 2010. When I click on it to start it from the Start-Programs menu nothing happens. When I pull up the Task Manager I see a True Image Launcher listed, but nothing is happening. It won't let me end the launcher either. I tried downloading the current version, and running it, but it seems to hang after the first install screen, and never actually loads.
I have a Dell 8300 running Windows XP Pro. Since I can't get Acronis to open I can't tell which version I currently am running, but I installed this copy I believe in early 2010.
What is going on? Any thoughts on how to get it running again? Will I lose backups if I do an uninstall and reinstall?
Thanks for your help.

Thank youfor the information. Would you also have any idea what maybe going on with Acronis not loading?
THanks

It could be some driver conflict with any software related to disk access: storage monitoring, security software, defragmentation software. Or it could that some windows infrastructure is not in place: services necessary for Acronis, problem with Windows libraries. Or it could be some registry issues... These kind of issues are hard to diagnose by other users.
One way of troubleshooting it is:
- assuming you tweaked XP services, go back to the default service settings.
- disable all non-microsoft services and non-Acronis services and startup items.
- see if Acronis behaves normally then. If yes, you are in good shape, as you can enable half of the items, and iterate until you have the culprit. If no, you will need more process analysis tools that only customer support really help you out with.
