Three problems since update to ATIH 2011 version 6857
Since the update, at boot up I receive a message that Windows cannot find C:\ProgramFiles\Acronis\Online backupstandalone\TrueImage monitor.exe. I have never used the online backup.
There is also an error message that the operation has failed. Operation execution has failed. See the operation log for details. There is nothing in the log.
I have also lost the Plus Pack, and am not sure how to regain it.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times (using Revo Uninstaller Pro) without solving the problems.
Your advice would be very much appreciated.

Sincere thanks Pat. the Plus Pack wasn't listed in the programs, but must have been uninstalled along with ATIH. I will follow your advice. I certainly appreciate your response.

Unfortunately the problem persists. Do you recommend the cleanup utility, or a manual removal of everything Acronis after an uninstall?
Thank you for your thoughts.

If you don't use other Acronis Products, use the cleanup utility.

Thank you once again. I have Acronis Disk Director, so might learn to live with the annoying message at startup.
Best wishes

See this thread. No solution yet.

Dianne,
In your original post, the error message in the error_1.jpg is most likely because the program is looking in the wrong location for the file. The below is the path using Windows XP. If you see this message as part of the startup, you will need to correct the path listing--either in the registry or using MSConfig/Startup.
Error message wrong path listing
C:\Program Files\Acronis\OnlineBackupStandalone\TrueImageMonitor.exe
Correct path for Windows XP:
C:\Program Files\Acronis\TrueImageHome\OnlineBackupStandalone\TrueImageMonitor.exe
As for error-2, post a copy of the log file listing that error and maybe we can find some clues as to its cause.

I no longer have any problems with ATI 2011 as I have completely removed it from my computer. Reinstalled ATI 2010 and everything runs perfectly. Perhaps a bit drastic but after six months use every backup that I did was said to be corrupt!\

Thank you for your reply, GroverH. WHen I reinstalled ATIH 2011, as a custom install, I opted not to install the Online Backup component. It doe snot appear in Program Files now, however the message continues to appear.
There is no relevant entry in the log file, since the reinstall. So I am at a standstill.
I might uninstall and clean up the registry again, then reinstall and see what happens. The backups are running on schedule, without any errors, so I think that my problems are of nuisance value rather than a major problem with ATIH 2011, which has behaved perfectly for me until the most recent update.

I was happy with ATIH 2011 until the latest update. And I gather that others are having odd issues with it too. If a clean reinstall doesn't resolve the problem, I might go back one version and hopefully save myself a lot of time trying to troubleshoot!

Still have the same issues with current version (Build 6587).
I have attached my log file which was saved with the "save all" option (102KB) of Acronis True Image Home 2011 Plus Pack Update 2 (Build 6587) some of the log file contains information from the previous release (Build 6696 ) as well. There are 16 entries for previous version (Build
6696) and 18 entries for the current version (Build 6587).
All backups and verifications appeared to complete successfully (note the message="Operation has completed with errors."), but the log files still contain errors which lead me to believe that there are still problems with the most recent updates.
Summary of the errors with current version (Build 6587) and previous version (Build 6696).
message="Failed to open an archive Weekly."
message="The system cannot find the file specified"
message="The specified file does not exist."
message="Operation has completed with errors."
message="Error while opening script file."
message="Error occurred while opening the file."
message="The system cannot find the path specified"
message="Failed to open an archive My_partitions."
message="Retry (HTTP)."
message="Cannot connect to the update server. Please try again later."
The system is running Windows 7 SP1 64-bit with all current updates on a Quad Core.

All this proves is that Acronis yet again did zero testing of their build.
I have had enough. I now wont buy any more Acronis software. I also tell everyone that I know to do the same.

I have had problems since upgrading to build 6857 from 6696.
With 6696 everything was working perfectly (i also have the plus pack), following the update to 6857 I also get the anoying "Operation has failed" notification with nothing at all logged as to what it is.
My sister-in-law has build 6696 and cannot backup (via Acronis at least) MS Outlook 2007 as there is a bug which causes it to fail, this has been going on for months with no fix in sight.
I too used to love Acronis software but now it seems to be completely bug ridden!

It is very frustrating and disappointing to see a great product causing these problems. Let's hope that they are resolved soon.

I think that based on the track record for Acronis there is zero hope that Acronis will resolve things soon.
I was hopeful 2 years ago but no longer. I have now given up home.
It is so obvious that Acronis do zero testing.
Some builds of ATI 2009 were useful but ATI 2011 is absolute pants.

Hi All,
I have been in touch with Acronis who are now fully aware of this issue, I have 'masked the problem' for now following:
http://kb.acronis.com/content/22114
I used option 1 which removes the notification from the registry (until another task is created) it works for now, no way would I use option 2 nor was I keen on option 3.
I have provided them with the system report files that they have requested so on a positive note they seem to be acting upon this now.
Will keep you all posted as to the outcome.

Thank you for sharing this important information and the link to the suggested resolutions. I do agree that option 1 is the preferable choice!
