Win7 "User Account Window" asks if I want to allow the following program...

Thread needs solution

I purchased, downloaded and installed "ATIH2011_6696_en-US" about 2 weeks ago. I created a bootable disk. I created an image of my boot partition for reference because I was going to do a complete reinstall of Windows 7 and all of my applications.

After I reinstalled Windows 7, and after each application was reinstalled (saving True Image for last) I created an image from the bootable disk I previously made, about 8 images in total. All of this was done virtually without problems.

I then installed True Image. The installation seemed to take longer than I expected but I was prompted that it was successful. However, every time I attempt to launch any component from True Image the "User Account Window" pops up and asks if I want to allow the following program to make changes to my computer.

Can you please help?

When you re-installed Windows it probably defaulted to having the User Account Control set to medium.

You have two choices, either lower or turn off the UAC in Windows Control Panel, or navigate to where the ATIH exe file is located, right click on the file name select Properties then click on the Compatability tab and tick the Run this program as an administrator box at the bottom of the panel under the heading Privilege Level.

Because ATI works at a deep-in-the-guts level, Windows wants the keyboard user to verify that the program should run. Win does this to prevent other programs or remotes from starting programs that can mess with the PC that you didn't intend to have run.
